Came back home to a house we'd lived in for 48 hours and started to try and get settled. Kaiya found some of her basics right away.

Figure with all these kids we're having I better start some training. 1)Dishes. (even though neither of them is actually washing a dish in this picture, they were VERY helpful.)

We didn't have a kitchen table. We sold ours before we moved (hi amber! :)) and are too, what's the word, budget minded to just go buy one. So we waited for the perfect Craigslist find, and meanwhile ate on the floor. That's just how we roll.

But eating on the floor leads to some great after dinner dancing...

see??

Very, very, very THANKFUL for the moving in help we've had! Initially from the Detroit crowd, and then my friend Stephenie was kind enough to spend time, money and resources to come help me work, work, work on the micro tasks. She was amazing! We got curtains hung, clothes put away, beds made, such a huge gift. THANK YOU STEPH! (She also found me an identical crumb vacuum to the one my Mom has! I'm so excited! :))

My heart just almost stopped when I saw this picture. I LOVE IT!

Those who know me and my fear of being alone are not surprised that I keep shipping people in to avoid it. :) Our friends Jared and Mandy and sweet baby Caleb came for the weekend. Yippee! Painting with water. That's how great of a mom I am.

Caleb digs toile.

Mandy making lemon puppy chow. Have you heard of this?? Yum!

Mark and a baby boy. There are not a lot of these pictures. :)

Ok, so the big thing here is Snow balls. We went for our first experience and were not disappointed. The consistency of the ice is like nothing I've ever experienced. This was a happy night.

Bright eyes!

Ava's love language is sweets. And running. Maybe the two are related??

Reese is following in Ava's footsteps. I think I got like 2 bites.

Caleb tried some cake batter snoball.

He was pleased!

The Dads were in charge of breakfast. Which is nice, because I'm the worst hostess ever these days until about 10 am. Or maybe 11.

Yeah they do!

My friend Meredith always says Kaiya is going to be the next Vera Wang. She definitely has her own sense of style!

And when four kids becomes too much, we just buckle em all in.
