It was a total dream to get to live 90 steps away from my sister and her family for 3 years. We spent our last week trying to squeeze in lots of time with our cousins.
Ava absolutely ADORES Melinda and I love this picture because you can see how sweetly they are engaged at the end of the table. Totally typical. She is such a fabulous aunt!
Reese started taking her first steps in Michigan! I would not consider her to be walking, but she certainly does 2 or 3 steps when it helps her get what she wants. This is way earlier than my other girls who weren't interested until 13 months! I guess she has a lot to keep up with.
I'm not sure if the heartache of leaving will ever go away, but I AM very thankful for the time that we did have. We miss you sweet family!

These pictures are so sweet. I CANNOT believe how big Melinda's kids are. The littles are looking a lot like bigs these days...and the bigs are looking like men! Guess it's been a while since I've seen them. :) Love you. Oh, and really love the new blog background. Might be my favorite one yet.

sniff, sniff...Glad we got to share in enjoying how close you and Melinda lived to one another. Wish I were your neighbor. We miss you no matter how far away you are.
