Just wanted these for the books.

THAT THERE'S AN R.V.

Last weekend was Mark's birthday and oh boy did we have fun.

Some gracious relatives loaned us an RV, and in classy fashion-we parked it in our driveway. It was seriously some of the most fun we've had.

The girls totally dug hanging out in it.
We invited some of our besties over to share in the party.
We all loaded up and went to dinner. (Not sure what kind of laws we broke. How is it legal to drive with all sorts of kids and no car seats just because you are in a recreational vehicle? I don't know. But thank you Jesus for protecting us.)
We went to Dave's favorite pizza place in town..below you can see Dave is giddy.
Why use one straw when you can use 5?!
I pretty much think Mark is the cutest thing to ever live. Also cute: the baby eating his sweater.
We brought the girls' jammies and suited them up before we headed home. LOVE this pic of the two firstborn girls taking charge in the cab of the truck!

Of course you can't have an RV without a fire and s'mores.
And telling jokes...and stories...and laughing. (And maybe fire jumping but I don't support that, for the record.)
Then the boys got all snuggled up with Meet the Parents on VHS, and we had a girls only slumber party in the house. (with comfy beds)

The next morning we headed out to get cider and donuts. Look at this gorgeous family! Can't wait to see the next member who will be joining us later this spring.
I think it would be safe to say we all had an AMAZING time in the corn boxes.

This is me totally hysterical because I put the truck in reverse, made the beeping sound, and dumped corn all over Christina. I really crack myself up sometimes.

Our friends got Mark this sweet Netherlands jersey for his birthday. Mark has ridden 100 miles on his bike this week. He is crazy.

The next night we took the RV again, but ditched the kids. We went and celebrated some more!

You don't make pumpkin pie with graham cracker crust...

This post is way overdue so if you read any of my friends blogs, which, who am I kidding-they are really the only people who read mine...I'm posting this for posterity's sake. I want documentation also.

My dear college friends had our annual gathering this year at Ali's house. She won the prize because she had an infant who was very small. Even though we all know very small infants are the most portable of all kids. Now that I think about it she totally should have had to travel. Oh well.

Cramming two infants and five adults into an SUV. I was the selfish one in the passenger seat. Now that I think about it, I shouldn't have been in the passenger seat. Oh well.

Abby and Reese-who is officially not invited on anymore girls trips. At least for like, 16 years.

Let me preface this by saying I couldn't love Ali more. She is one of the smartest and most caring people I know. But not quite as into cooking as some. She wanted pecan pie-and as the host-she was in charge of groceries. I thought it was weird when I told her Pillsbury pie crust and she told me she couldn't find that and got another brand...well it turns out this was what she bought and I was the only friend mean enough to tell her it wouldn't work. This still makes me chuckle. Love you, Al! And loved our late night run to Giant Eagle to rectify the problem. :)

Two Cute

Our spunky, good natured, pig pen cutie pie has been living at our house for two years! One thing I wish blogs could capture better is the little voices. Her voice, especially her intonation about does me in. We couldn't be more in love!

And thirsty. She is also always very thirsty.
Nothing says happy birthday like a gourmet meal of peanut butter and jelly! (Thanks Meredith!)
And a brownie. (no candle, no birthday party, I'm just not that Mom.)
Started and ended the day cuddling with Daddy. (Can I tell you how much we LOVE having home more?!?!) That dog was one of her presents and hasn't left her side.
Happy Birthday to our sweet bundle. She was truly spared from death and is so full of life! Praise God for his faithfulness to us!
