We got a quick little getaway over the weekend to Arizona with our good friends Jared and Mandy.
Got off to a bit of a rocky start...on our way to the resort after leaving the airport in our fancy Malibu, a semi tire flew at us-which seemed like not so big a deal when according to the sound I was sure we had been shot!
Can you see how the glass is hanging like a hammock? Uh, yeah. Scary. Mark was covered in shards of glass..but thankfully escaped with just a few cuts.

Cute pics of the four of you. So fun you had a little getaway and I'm so jealous it was to Arizona! Ben and I have vacationed there three times and absolutely love it! That dry heat is so awesome and it's beautiful with the mountains and flowers and sunshine and everything. Every time we go, I'm convinced I could live happily there. :)

I love it that you took pictures at the accident site. Do you find that you take pictures of the funniest things for your blog? I know I do! So glad that you guys were okay - that would be horrifying! This winter we were on the interstate and a sheet of ice flew off the roof of the car in front of us. It hit our windshield and as it was coming at us, I thought we were going to be decapitated! Thankfully the windshield stayed in tact - whew! Other than that experience, though, looked like you had a great trip :)

Awful about the car. Thank the Lord the windshield did not collapse (we wouldn't want something to happen to Mark's pretty face).
