Silver Lining

I certainly wouldn't have imagined myself on the gulf coast again, and without family no less. But a major bright spot of our location is getting to people we love in Houston fairly quickly.

We had just a quick 24 hours to take care of a few business items in Houston and steal a quick visit with Baby Isaac who we hadn't been able to meet yet!

Whether Mexico, Michigan, or Houston, we are so blessed by these DEAR, old friends...we have so. much. fun together!

I mean, you would be smiling that beautifully if you had a pink frosted donut, too. :)
Contemplating where her pink frosting is.
Just because she's cute. So is he.
Seriously my heart swells at this picture. Love these people!
We got ready for Thomas' football game. Mark really wanted to re-live his old glory days where he was a Kalamazoo Christian star. :)
Thanks, Sheriff, for putting up with SO much.
Cheerleaders
Ok, I had to put this picture because it reminded me of Anchorman when the news teams are walking. Maybe that's just my crazy head...but boy did it make me laugh.

After football we headed to their church Fall Festival. If there's one thing I love it's a festival. :) Obviously Kaiya feels the same.
Ava was a rockstar at the ring toss. We won our very own bottle of Sunkist Orange soda!!

Meeting my new buddy Isaac! He and I are kindred "bonus baby" spirits.

My girls need a little more training on posing. I'm kind confused on Ava's new "smile with wrinkled nose" thing, but whatever. Still love her more than my luggage.
It seemed like a good idea at the time,
but I'm pretty sure Jeremy was regretting his decision to hold Kaiya a few minutes later. :) (My favorite moment of this whole filthy mess was me giving Jeremy a wipe for Kaiya's face and he calmly wiped off the cone and set it down on the table. I love men.)

The big kids getting the itch out for themselves.
Can't wait to play again soon!
