Because it makes people like myself feel very inadequate. I will never have those parties that they show on there. I can't make that stuff, or do that stuff, or print those labels. I just can't.
So we went with good old fashioned fun.
The bounce house.
The front yard.
The cotton candy machine.
Hula Hoops...
Did I mention cotton candy?
(This was, admittedly, a completely selfish rental...I love that stuff so much)
The candy man giving Grandma a tutorial
The birthday girl and her friend Molly
Please note the candy topiaries that I stole from Pinterest people after they used them at a marriage thing for church. When you have no talent: steal other people's.
Our wonderful Erica and Ava.
Grandma Betsy
Paige, Ava, Natalie, and Molly...
I mean it was worth the money just for our family :)
-The favor station-
And Mark and Dean wrapping things up.

Amen to pinterest making me feel inadequate. That's why I try to only pin recipes:) The party looked great though, as long as the birthday girl has fun, who cares about homemade crap? :)
Ok...seriously? This party blows the homemade stuff out of the water....a bounce house and a cotton candy machine?!?!?...you are the coolest parents in town!! You had tablecloths and cute centerpieces too...and a princess cake! You are officially a crazy, cool birthday party thrower now! I bet Ava loved it. Way to go, Mama! :) Love you and your big girl!
love this party!! looks like a blast. :) i think you outdid pinterest!
Poor Ava and her lame birthday party. She looks so miserable in that bounce house. And cotton candy? Yuck.
Oh well, there's always next year.
Ditto what everyone else said... and also, Simon LOVES cotton candy - I shall not tell him what he missed :)
What an awesome party!! And I am holding out... haven't even joined Pinterest because I don't need the feelings of inadequacy that will inevitably follow. :)
the birthday party looks super fun!!!
