Silver shoes, garbage bags, and the ice cream truck

I have some silver shoes that I wear all the time, so I couldn't resist grabbing some for Ava on a recent browse through Target. Then one day I realized we were inadvertently twins from head to toe. Except that she looks way better without makeup.

Mark let me sleep til 11 last Sunday, and when your husband does really nice stuff like that you don't tell him how scary it is to see pictures like this that were taken while you were sleeping. :)
It's amazing how kids are often in love with things besides toys. Our friend Andrew took the time to share with the girls some of the finer things in life. Expensive things, like garbage bags. We'll call it summer sledding.

While I have been trying to keep our kids in the dark about the ice cream man, Mark is clearly the nicer parent. Two bucks and one SpongeBob bar later. (They don't even know who that is...but who really cares when you're talking about sugar and gum ball eyes)

I love how Sheriff is in this picture too. :)
And in conclusion.....the reason we will have to spend 4 bucks on the ice cream man next summer. :)

This made me me really miss you guys...not that I don't always...but I just love your little cuties (and you...and Mark!)! Love Kaiya's hair in the icecream pic too...made me smile. The silver shoes are cute...I'll have to scope out Target for some of my own. :) Love!

Flour Blossoms

I've just about worn the soles out of my silver flats. LOVE them.

I just want you to know that your blog always enourages me. I'm really not sure why, I guess it's because I see what might be a hectic life handled with grace and humor. That is what I hope to instill in our house too, cause those are the things the leave lasting impressions on little ones. And your little girls are so blessed.

Abby

I think the metallic flat is a mom wardrobe staple. I wear my bronze ones all the time. Dressy, but not. How brilliant.

Dads are great at doing things with kids that moms would never think of doing for obvious reasons. Which is good, life would be pretty boring otherwise.

My heart would have fallen out of my chest if I'd found that picture. Damn. He's nice. I was going to say brave, but dumb might be a better word. Aren't I a nice friend. ;) Love the pics of the girls and the ice cream. So cute.

What cute parents you guys are. I LOVE the picture of you and Ava. I've been on the hunt for some matching sandals like Isla (and your girls have) from Target. Glad to see the mullet is still in tact. Garbage bag sledding is the best!

The Inspired Nester

Your blog makes me smile! Ava is such a confident big sister...take a look at that big grin on her face holding reese :) Spongebob square pants rocks.

Ben and Erin

These are great pictures. I love the one of you and Ava as twins...too cute. Little Reese is too precious and I love her onesie in the last picture. Also, we are huge ice cream man fans. I think I get more excited then Clare. I love the ice cream sandwiches. :)

MELANIE

Your girls are so cute and I have to say I did gasp a little when I saw that picture of Ava holding Reese!!! ;)

Carrie

Parenting in blue jeans

I love those shoes! I'm totally giving my kids garbage bag rides as soon as they wak up!

Angel

Love all your cuteness and don't hate me when Ellie is too, sporting silver shoes from Target. But, I just love the picture of Ava holding Reese. I love that she is topless and walking, as if part of the sleeping in, is she will take over with the feeding. Let's face it, we walk around with our boobs hanging out by the time we have our third. You're all adorable.
