1987 Called...

They want their outfit back.

Popped collar.
Jean skirt. (light acid wash, obviously) Of course technically, these should be leggings, not tights.
Ava: um, see my trendy velour warm-up suit????
Mullet.
Oh well. At the end of the day your sister is your best friend no matter what decade you're sporting.

A wild hare...

Kaiya has TOTALLY different hair than Ava did. Ava had straight easy hair that always looked the same and she kept a bow in like a nice girl. :)

Kaiya has got some craziness going on. I feel responsible for this, although mine was even curlier than hers when I was little.

Here is the before. Darling, yes she is, but that hair is out of control!
This is what it looks like after a bath. But unless there is some major product involved, it ends up like the picture above.
With some TLC. (and t-i-g-i)
And a little ponytail in front so people know she is a girl. A bow you ask? Uh, yeah. Gone in 60 seconds from this little pumpkin. (or 2 seconds. or maybe 1). But what girl isn't worth her mama spending a few minutes on her hair!
Speaking of wild hair, postpartum ladies, can I get a witness? Did your hair freakishly fall out after childbirth and grow back in at inconvenient times in annoying ways? This piece of scariness has been taunting me for months now. It's actually getting pretty long, which is great, since I'm about to have a baby and it will fall out again and start the process all over.
And now, for the true wild hare....

Who shoots rabbits, anyway?!

those who've...seen us...know that not a thing can come between us

If you haven't seen the sisters song from White Christmas, you are missing a great piece of Americana. Anyway-had another fun couple days with my sisters.

We did crazy stuff like go through goodwill bags and stay in our pajamas for way too long.

My girls love their aunts! Incidentally, so do I! Don't worry, there were lots of donuts, just didn't get any pictures this year. :)

just some pictures about some stuff.

I'm in a real funk lately. This baby must be sucking the life out of me. Here's my best attempt at a post. :)

Kaiya's new demand: a fork to eat. Which rang a bell....
Same bat time, same bat channel. Well, not the exact same time. But you get the idea.
I'm intimidated, I don't know about you.
Those eyes kill me. Hmmm, let me consider your proposal.
OK! A kiss it is. :)
Yep, it has raw eggs. That's just the kind of rebel I am. And huge? Why yes. I am. Please don't feel the need to tell me I'm not. I'm fine with it. I didn't have stomach muscles when I got pregnant with Ava-much less now. And hey-it disguises all the cookie dough I eat.
Ava wearing Aunt Megan's jacket, and the baby doll wearing baby Isla's jacket. They were going to the store, FYI. Undoubtedly to get donuts. And maybe cookie dough. Although we really prefer homemade.
An apple a day...
does not keep the bruise on your forehead away. But cute, nonetheless.
